Air Display Balloon Ride Schedule

Calendar Instructions

IMPORTANT:  once you have determined a suitable date and flight time, request your reservation using the Air Display contact page.  This is best done using a PC or laptop.

Air Display Hot Air Balloon Team conducts its balloon flying operations in the vicinity of Barrie, Cookstown, Alliston and Beeton Ontario, May through October and as weather and ground conditions permit.

Air Display carries a maximum of five passengers on each flight.  We require at least two passengers to hold a reservation.  If you are a single person you must choose a date and flight time that indicates at least two persons have already made a reservation.

Each calender day will have a RED bar, a LIGHT BLUE bar or a PURPLE bar.

  • The RED bar indicates dates that are out of season.

  • The LIGHT BLUE bar indicates Air Display is available for local balloon ride reservations.

  • The PURPLE bar indicates Air Display is not available for local ride reservations because we are attending a hot air balloon festival or private function.

Information about the balloon festivals Air Display attend can be found at "LINKS (LTA AVIATION)" .  Sometimes balloon rides can be reserved with Air Display during these events.

For the LIGHT BLUE dates, there are two flight opportunities each day.*  Sunrise and/or early evening.

--------There is no daytime flying of hot air balloons.------

If a date only shows a LIGHT BLUE bar, no bookings have been made for that date.  You may choose to reserve either a sunrise or an early evening balloon ride from either Barrie or Cookstown.  This booking may be for a shared or private flight.

------Air Display does not reserve coincident rain dates.-------

If the LIGHT BLUE date has a YELLOW bar, a sunrise flight has already been scheduled by another party.  There is shared space available for that flight but the meet location (Barrie or Cookstown) has been fixed.  Hold your cursor over the YELLOW bar to see the flight's meet location and available passenger space.

If the LIGHT BLUE date has a TURQUOISE bar, an early evening flight has been scheduled by another party.  There is shared space available for that flight but the meet location (Barrie or Cookstown) has been fixed.  Hold your cursor over the TURQUOISE bar to see the flight's meet location and  available passenger space.

If the light blue date has a FUCHSIA bar, that flight is fully booked.  Hold your cursor over the FUCHSIA bar to see which flight time (sun rise or early evening) is fully booked.  Two FUCHSIA coloured bars on the same day means, both flight times are full.

Reservations from October 15th on are sunrise only due to early sunset times.
